However, “Resident Playlist”—originally scheduled for release in May 2024—was absent from the lineup.

The drama, which had sparked excitement with stills of Go Youn-jung in a doctor’s coat, has been indefinitely postponed. The delay stems from the fallout of a nationwide medical resident strike earlier this year, pushing its release back over 10 months.

Opinions on the matter have been divided. Some netizens argue that “it’s just a drama” and the delay is unnecessary, while others criticize the show for allegedly glorifying the medical profession amidst ongoing controversies about residents’ working conditions. Responding cautiously, tvN announced in May that the show’s schedule remained undecided.

About “Wise Resident Life”

The series depicts the realistic hospital life and friendships between university hospital professors and medical residents. Created by Shin Won-ho and Lee Woo-jung, with writer Kim Song-hee and director Lee Min-soo leading the production, the cast includes Go Youn-jung, Shin Si-a, Kang Yoo-seok, Han Ye-ji, Jung Joon-won, and Lee Bong-ryun.
